Second edition, with 2 superb fold-out colour plates "A General View of Ballarat, 1887" and "Mining Plan of Ballarat", both in excellent condition, plus 25 other full-page plates, several tinted., including facsimiles of historical documents. Two short (old) tape repairs to rear inner hinge. Pictorial gilt decorated green cloth exceptionally bright.
