Signed by the author at the head of the title page and later presented by his son to the local historian E.A.B. Barnard in 1919. Pasted in are a few cuttings and related booklets and also some letters. There are some of EAB Barnard's neat pencil notes in the text. Bound in full leather by I Bushill, Cow Lane Steam Works, Coventry with their label to the rear pastedown. Wear to spine and few small stains. 9 lithographic plates [of which 7 are tinted, 2 are plans], 1 other plate and further woodcuts in the text - complete as listed. Some light foxing. Blockley was in Worcestershire, but now in Gloucestershire.
