It had been intended to cover the whole of Essex, but there was insufficient support from the subscribers. This is all that was published. The engravings were made by the authors husband - John Ogborne. This copy lacks the iv page section entitled "a slight sketch of the antiquities of Essex". Spine has been professionaly replaced. New endpapers. Generally clean but some foxing and some off-set from the plates. G+
