Book Description
Folio. Pp [4], 734, [17]. Contemporary calf with raised bands and contrasting label, speckled edges. Binding worn, spine rubbed, front board detached. Some age toning, more notably to the rear, ink splash to fore edge of final leaves, front-paste down soiled, otherwise a nice example. Armorial bookplate of William Urquhart of Meldrum. A good study or binding copy of an important translation, with an interesting Scottish provenance. Please note faults, but priced accordingly. ESTC R1652.
