Esther Copley's 'book of simple and intelligible hints to young housekeepers in the middle ranks of life' has been used, but is complete and intact; pages are untrimmed and page 96 torn in outer margin when originally opened; 12 pp of advertisements at rear; inscription to front endpaper of Mrs Thompson of Newton-upon-Trent, Lincolnshire; very small amount of spotting and tanning to pages; boards rubbed with some marks, corners bent.
