Has been rebound in brown cloth with gilt titles to spine and new plain end papers. Has Momento Mori card pasted to front paste dwon and small engraving of City Road Chapel inserted prior to title page. Title page is followed by several pages of illustrations relating to characters and incidents in Wesley's life, there is also a small pamphlet of pastoral advice. This is followed by the main body of text which consists of extracts from twenty one numbers of his journal covering the period 1730 to 1791. Overall a very nice condition copy with little wear. Some staining to edges of title pages and prelims and browning and slight spotting to text. Happy to supply further information on request. Heavy item which will require additional postage outside the UK.
