The Kingdom of the Pearl
Book Description
Limited edition of 675 copies “printed for sale in the British Empire”, this being copy number 67. Hardback. [12], 1 - 150, [2]. Ten tipped-in colour plates (including frontispiece) each with a titled tissue guard. Quarter fine-grain ivory cloth (presumably designed to look like vellum) over paper covered boards. Sea-shell and waves design to upper board, gilt titles to spine. Top edge gilt. Delightful illustrations by Dulac in his trademark Persian miniature style.
Dealer Notes
Book in very good condition. Minor bumping to corners and some rubbing/wear to edges of boards - mainly to leading edge. Slight creasing to extremities of spine. Tissue guards all in place though slightly discoloured. Very clean internally. No jacket. Altogether a very nice copy.
