New endpapers. 11.25ins x 9ins, xv, (i), 583pp plus frontis and 21pp plates (as listed). Some of the plates are photographic, others are drawings, mostly drawn by W. Hallsworth Waite. Also a very large number of illustrations within the text. Covers all aspects of the growth of Birmingham from 1700 to 1893. Occasional light foxing - especially to the title page. Previous owners name and address (33 Temple Row, Birmingham) written in red ink to top of original front free endpaper. This address is also embossed stamped to the margins of a number of pages. An atractive, well preserved copy of a title scarce in its original format. VG.
