The Natural History of the Human Teeth, including a particular elucidation of the changes which take place, during the second dentition and describing the proper mode of treatment to prevent irregularities of the teeth
Book Description
First edition. 4to. Pp viii, 100, plus thirteen full page plates, each with explanatory leaf and tissue guard. Edges uncut, good quality later half morocco on marbled boards, endpapers replaced. Early ownership inscription on title page, deaccessioned from the University of Chicago with stamps on the verso of the title page, but otherwise free of stamps, last two plates somewhat affected by an old damp splash, otherwise an attractive example of this seminar work (please see photos), complete and correct, with good margins. Renowned as the first text in English on dentistry considered as the art of correcting irregularities. A well-written and interesting text. Would make an attractive gift. G & M 3679.
