With a short foreword by George Henry Falkiner Nuttall (1862-1937) an American-British bacteriologist who contributed to the understanding of parasites and insects as vectors of diseases. In 1906 he was elected the first Quick Professor of Biology at the University of Cambridge. A collection of 52 papers mainly on parasitology including many on ticks and lice etc by G.H.F. Nuttall et al. Produced in a limited edition of 50 copies for presentation to those who helped the Quick Laboratory in its work. This copy no.27 was presented to Prof. D'Arcy W. Thompson, (1860-1948) Scottish biologist and pioneer of mathematical biology.
