THE SECRET GARDEN

Book Description
This book was a sensational success for Frances h Burnett when it was first published in the US (1911) followed soon afterwards by its publication in the UK. It seemed to embody a beguiling sense of mystery & gentle adventures that appealed to both adults & children. Charles Robinson's sympathetic colour illustrations only added to this appeal.
