An early pre-war novel from this popular novelist, originally published by Hutchinson in 1937, this edition although undated not much later. Possibly a wartime publication but not stated as such.
Wheatley wrote a number of historical, spy or military based novels, mostly in series form. This is a stand-alone title however.
