Black leather spine and corners over purple textured cloth boards (ripple pattern,) with gilt title on purple leather label to spine, and gilt decorative bands. Red speckled edges. 272pp, 18 x 11 cm. With folding map at front: b&w engraved 'New plan of Edinburgh' ; and 17 engravings in plates. Spine bright, binding tight, some scuffs to leather, light rubbing to cloth and a few small marks. Pages generally clean through foxed and browned in places and a few smudge handling marks; map tanned and foxed (mostly to back), with small tear to fold, engravings very good. A Very Good copy.
