Teg. 12.25ins x 8.75ins, marbled endpapers, xxiii, (i), 511pp plus frontis, 103pp plates and 5pp plans. Also many other illustrations, groundplans, maps and diagrams within the text. This volume covers the hundreds of Hitchin, Broadwater, Odsey, Braughing and Hertford. It includes the towns of Hitchin, Baldock, Letchworth, Welwyn, Royston, Bishop's Stortford, Sawbridgeworth, Ware, Bengeo and Hertford as well as the stately houses of Hatfield House and Knebworth House.
