The sole UK Printing published by Gordon Fraser Gallery Ltd, London & Bedford in 1987. Number '933' of only 1000 copies printed. Large format measuring 32 x 23 cm. Stiff card covers with a decorated wrapper to a design by Tirzah Ravilious. The BOOK and WRAPPER are in near Fine condition. Very slight fading to the upper tip of the wrapper. With 'Recollections' by Henry Swanzy (Tirzah's second husband) and Robert Harling. There is also 'A note on the Engravings by Anne Ullman" (Tirzah's daughter). 32 pages of striking B/W wood-engraving illustrations by Tirzah, the wife of Eric Ravilious. Dulwich Picture Gallery opened the first major retrospective of Tirzah Ravilious (nee Garwood) work in 2025. A very handsome production and increasingly elusive.
