Transition Edition No. 1

Book Description
First edition, first printing of Issue 1 of an influential though short lived literary magazine. Very good but fragile with wear to the spine - front cover detached. Contributors include Gertrude Stein, Max Ernst and Andre Gide. The main attraction is the extract of the Opening Pages of a Work in Progress by James Joyce which is probably the first published appearance of Finnigan's Wake.
