Green silk covered boards with Bloomfield’s gilt swan vignette to the front, uncut edges, marbled endpapers made by Douglas Cockerell and Son using William Morris’ special ink. 33[1]pp with 6 tissue-guarded wood engravings by Diana Bloomfield, in original glassine jacket. Signed and inscribed by the author to the front free endpaper. One of the last books printed by the press, on, as the prospectus stated, ‘perhaps the last paper made by J Batchelor for William Morris and Son’ Signed and inscribed by the author to the front free endpaper. Scarce signed.
