Dealer Notes
Charles Van Sandwyk is a Vancouver artist and author who has attained renowned status and won numerous awards as a fantasy artist. His paintings can be found in the National Gallery of Canada and his illustrations are featured in such books as the Folio Society's The Wind in the Willows. This painting is entitled "Two European Storks" and is a wonderfully imagined watercolour of a couple of storks standing proudly over their nest, which has been made on top of a clock. The matte and frame used compliment the colours in the painting and is an overall magnificent piece.
