Book Description

Robert Graves' novel is based on the autobiographical works of one Sergeant Roger Lamb who was active in His Majesty's Army (Royal Welch Fusiliers) during the early years of the American Revolution. This is really a sequel to Graves' earlier book on the subject : 'Aventuras del Sargento Lamb' (Sergeant Lamb of the Ninth') which is also listed on this PBFA site. This book is also inscribed by Graves but more fully : 'HOMENAJE A LAS HUMANAS RODRIGUEZ JE SU SERVIDOR - ROBERT GRAVES - ANTIGUAMENTE CAPITAN DEL REGIMENTO XX111 DE INFANTERIA INGLESA - THE ROYAL WELCH FUSILIERS 1944'
