Colonel Arthur Robert Kenney-Herbert (1840-1916) was a British soldier who served in the British Indian Army. He wrote regular articles for The Madras Mail and The Daily News on Indian cookery, using the pen name Wyvern. After retiring from the army in 1892 and returning to England, he started a cookery school, The Common-sense Cookery Association in 1894 in London.
