VICTORIAN ALBUM OF BIRD FEATHERS
Book Description
This is a large old leather bound album which has been used to house a collection of Bird Feathers, with the initials G. H. R., the first used page is dated September 1885, which is labelled “Poor Polly” which I presume came from a pet Parrot, other birds include Pheasant, Partridge, Red Legged Partridge, Grouse, Landrail, Golden Plover, Woodcock, Magpie, Wood Pigeon, Rook, Woodpecker, Drake, Jacobin Pigeon, Turkey, Peacock, etc.
The last two used pages contain large feathers which are not labelled
The album measures 38cm by 30cm approx., with fourteen used pages, all content is pictured
Dealer Notes
The leather binding is rubbed and worn with splits to the leather at spine ends, internally all used content is pictured
