Red decorated cloth with gilt lettering to spine and front. Boards are marked and generally a little grubby. Some bumping to corners. Spine, including lettering, is faded with bumping to ends. The very edge of several page edges seems to have been nibbled. Age discolouration to endpages. First few pages have been badly and unsuccessfully reglued following a cracked front hinge. B/w frontispiece with tissue protection intact. Textblock is in good condition, clean and tight. Previous owner's mark to half title page. Pagination: 360 pp + 6 pp adverts.
