Published in 1880, this is a very rare surviving poster measuring 20 inches by 30 inches approx. advertising a meeting for the local Ironworkers at the Oakengates Town Hall about the workers wages. A nice local interest item relating to the area including Ironbridge and Coalbrookdale, the heart of the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution.

The poster is printed on very thin paper and is in a very worn state, with splits and loss to edges and fold lines, paper is brittle along fold lines, two old tape repairs, tape now gone from one of the repairs, else condition as seen.
