Cleaver; pub by Chapman & Hall, London 1933; 1st Edition & Limited edition of fifty copies, also Signed by Thomas Hatton, large 4to – 8” x 10”, green buckram with gold design on cover and title on spine, teg and other edges slightly rough, green patterned end paper at front and back; 408pps, + 17 tipped in Facsimile Illustrations, + b&w Frontispiece with tissue, book plate on inside front cover of ‘Wyggeston Grammar School For Boys’, inscription on inside front page from the author to friends at Thurnby, Leicester, which he signs. There is a number in white – 920 – at bottom of the spine, a small piece of the green end paper at the front has been removed (maybe something was stuck to this area in past times?), the 4 corners of covers are very slightly worn, hardly any foxing is noticeable.
