On folding linen in 15 sections, size 60 by 47.5 cm. Four scales: Italian Miles, French Grandes Leagues, French Leagues and English miles, approximately 35 miles to the inch. Rocque describes Post Stages in these words: “a post is two leagues, post and a half three leagues, double post four leagues”. Includes a decorative cartouche with the title in a romantic rural scene. Heights are shown in a stylised manner. Hand coloured. Folds into original marbled slipcase. Map and case both in VG condition.
