An album containing approx. 145 b&w photographs, mainly snapshot or postcard size, corner mounted but with two lacking, two photographs loosely inserted, with loosely inserted two menus for the M.F.A. Hong Siang for 1940 and 1942, each signed by members of the crew.

The Mercantile Fleet Auxiliary vessel Hong Siang operated in Hong Kong and other eastern waters. The images in this personal album show scenes on board ship and ashore, including what appear to be family images. The album concludes with 14 images, several captioned by hand to the rear, showing the effects of the typhoon at Hong Kong on the 2nd September, 1937; among the images are photographs of S/S Hong Peng ashore and listing,
