A STUDY OF SEWING MACHINES
Book Description
This is a 179 page handwritten manuscript book on the Sewing Machine, illustrated with pictures, original drawings and pieces of fabric. Housed in a pocket at the rear are a series of eighteen reply letters from various sewing machine companies that Sheila wrote to asking for information towards her project, a lot of the letters are on attractive headed paper from the various companies, the work itself is not dated but the letters date from 1952-1953, so its probably safe to assume the book was put together circa 1953, housed in stiff covers with steel rings holding everything together, some mild marks else in good general condition. The book was written by a Sheila Hattersley who at the time was a student at Stockwell College, Bromley, Kent
