Book Description
Half leather binding with cloth boards. Five raised bands to spine. Gilt lettering on red leather patches to compartments two and four. 12.5ins x 8ins. Contains 26 Acts of Parliament from 1748 to 1810 relating to the drainage and preservation of lands adjacent to the Middle Level. Ex Law Society library, with their emblem to the spine and their circular stamp to the front free endpaper, the rear paste down and the first act. There is a hand written summary of the contents at the start. Also hand written pagination to the top of each right hand page (oddly they have not counted the left hand page, so with the final page numbered 399 there are actually c 797pages.) An unusual item in an attractive binding. Nb heavy book would be expensive to post overseas.
