Book Description
Superbly illustrated throughout with 50 coloured plates and a colour frontispiece all with captioned tissue guards. All plates checked & complete. A very detailed book about Egypt, Cairo and the Pyramids & sphinx etc.
Top edge gilt. Publishers purple pictorial cloth decorated in dark yellow and gilt.
Uncommon as a signed first

Signed and dedicated by the author LAMPLOUGH and dated 2nd November 1909 ( publication? ).
Minor evidence of plate removal (this could be cleaned up by further removal) to front pastedown and place? blacked - out on front endpaper...SEE ILLUSTRATIONS.
Spine showing signs of minor wear to outer edges and corners a trifle worn. Nothing too serious.
Spine is also just a touch sunned / dulled...again nothing too bad
