Book Description
Privately Printed, Denbighshire, Nd (1964) Hardback 8vo pp 172. Illustrations & map. Very good condition in dustwrapper with small tears & slight wear to edges.
This book will prove a valuable source of quick reference for all who require details of officers who fought in the Great Civil War. Biographical sketches of the leaders are extended in considerable detail, though in the case of junior officers the length is necessarily governed by the scanty information available. The royalist ranks were consistently replenished by men of Denbighshire and some of the most reliable royal regiments - Salusbury's, Broughton's the Prince of Wales' Horse, were led by Denbighshire colonels.
