Geological VERTICAL SECTION IN THE NEWLY DISCOVERED MINES AT THE STAFFORD PITS IN THE LILLESHALL COMPANY COLLIERY NEAR SHIFFNAL SHROPSHIRE
Book Description
Published circa 1870, this is a scarce original printing of this large lithograph of the vertical section of the newly dug Lilleshall Company, Stafford No.1 & No. 2 Pits in the Priorslee Coal Field in the Shropshire are of Telford, and not far from the town of Shifnal.
Mounted on cloth and glazed, the lithograph measures 150cm by 50cm approx., on the original wooden roller.
The top piece of wood has become detached from the paper, the is a noticeable crease line at the top of the section, and other general creasing and rubbing wear along the length as seen in the pictures, there is some brown surface marking on one section (pictured), as the surface is glazed it might wipe off.
Else in good acceptable condition.
