Book Description

The looking-glass for the mind, or, Intellectual mirror : being an elegant collection of the most delightful little stories and interesting tales / chiefly translated from that much admired work, L'ami des enfans ; with seventy-four cuts, designed and engraved on wood, by I. Bewick. 15th edition. [4], 271, [1]. Bound in full dark calf, raised bands, all edges gilt, contrasting label, gilt lines to boards with corner devices, and marbled endpapers. Somewhat foxed within, particularly to prelims. A very attractive binding.
Dealer Notes
Berquin's popular work is here sympathetically illustrated, and consists of moral tales showing how children should behave toward their parents, and how parents should behave in return. Please note foxing, but a very neat charming binding. ~ POST FREE ~
