LAST OF THE LINE - Railwaymen Who Ran a Railway
Book Description
This is a unique work that has been compiled in chronological order for the Preservation Society (no longer operational) and covers all aspects of the line in great detail - possibly intended for future publication. It takes in the stations of Ladywell, Elmers End, Hayes, Woodside, Selsdon, Addiscombe as well as others along the line. It commences with the origins of the story from 1855 but more comprehensively from the opening of the first station at Addiscombe in 1864. It is hand-written in meticulously neat script.
