Folio. One letterpress leaf and 63 engraved leaves printed on the recto only. Title and the additional title page with the blank margins extended at the head and foot. The images depict Venetian street vendors. Plate 27 with a small inkblot. Possibly washed. 31cm. A high quality 1930's binding, perhaps from the bindery of the Oxford University Press. Half vellum with marbled boards. A note on the rear pastedown states the marbled papers are by G.G. Levitsky, with his Paris address and that they were purchased from OUP in 1935. The front pastedown has the book label of Charles Francis Bell who was First Keeper of the Fine Art Department, Ashmolean Museum, 1909-1931.
