A True and Exact Prospect of the Famous City of London from S. Marie Overs Steeple in Southwarke in its flourishing condition before the fire. Another prospect of the sayd citty taken from the same place as it appeareth now after the sad calamitie and destruction by fire in the Yeare M.DC.LXVI.
Two etched views on two sheets, showing the same view of London, the above image showing the view before the Great Fire of 1666, the lower image of the same view after the fire. A numerical key along the lower edge of the print identifies the principal churches in the city. Framed and glazed. The whole visible print measures 66cm by 23cm; the frame measures
81cm by 39cm. Some browning but very good (not examined out of the frame). This is the third state of five, which was published by John Overton between 1669 and 1707. [Pennington 1015iii.]
