Large folio, (445x340mm) engraved presentation leaf, engraved title-page, full-page engraving of Royal coat of arms signed W.V.Sculp., Royal Privilege 1 page, Dedication to Lord Mayor of London 1 page, The Preface 1 page, 27 engravings , Dedication to the Duke of York 1 page, all leaves printed recto only, mostly on very thick paper but 8 on ordinary thick paper, the first leaf a lttle ragged and laid down to size, the last leaf inlaid to size, lightly washed and resized, bound in full Cambridge-style calf by Bernard Middleton

The engraved presentation leaf has been completed in brown ink by Wallis with the arms of Sir William Hooker, Kt. and the inscription to “Sr. William Hooker Kt. London’s Armory is dedicated and presented by your Worships humble servt. Rich. Wallis”. EEBO shows images of the copy at Cambridge which has a total of 33 leaves, according with ours except the Dedication to the Duke of York (the penultimate leaf in our copy.) A note to the incomplete British Library copy reads “A copy of this work in the library of the late Sir W. Stirling Maxwell at Keir contains 4 leaves, which do not appear in this one. 1. Rich border with blank shields, facing title. 2. Privilege headed Charles R. 3. Dedication to Sir T. Davies Lord Mayor. 4. A dedication to James, Duke of York, preceding the last plate.”
