First edition. 8vo. Pp [ii], viii,148, [2],151-152,151-245,[1] [2]. (Contents leaf is bound after the first title page). The second named discourse on the rise and progress of the law of Scotland is by Alexander Bayne. Pagination is irregular, but collated and correct as per ESTC, with a separate title page for the discourse, and index, but with an errata leaf additionally to the rear which ESTC does not appear to notice. Contemporary calf, skilfully rebacked, with the original label and spine retained. Price 3/6 in front paste down, and the contemporary signature of Arch Bertram to title page in a neat hand.
