Dealer Notes
The tissue-collage illustrations are the most striking feature of this underwater tale - the story of an unbeautiful fish called Oliver in the ‘gloomy depths’, whose protruding bulb and sharp ‘spiny teeth’ come to be useful and win him friends. The author is obscure, but her work is sufficiently skilful to suggest an artistic background.
