A very attractive children's book that clearly incorporates some of the images of the First World War but in a humorous way that appealed to adults as well as children. The presentation & style of illustration make this very much a period piece & it is an original, not a reprint. Nurses are portrayed as hard-working & long-suffering - but with a sense of humour.
