8vo. First edition. Original maroon cloth, gilt. Neat ink ownership, dated 1928, on fly. Unclipped d/w is darkened on the spine, with a tiny tape repair to the head, and rubbed along the top edge. Near fine in very good + d/w.

The author served with the 12th Royal Scots in the 9th Division. Uncommon in the jacket.
