A perambulation of Kent: conteining the description, hystorie, and customes of that shyre. Written in the yeere 1570 by William Lambarde of Lincolnes Inne Gent: first published in the yeere 1576. and now increased and altered after the authors owne last copie. Imprinted at London, By Edm. Bollifant, 1596. 4to. [10], 588, [6] p. Folding Carde of the Beacons and a woodcut map of the Heptarchie. Modern goatskin binding, panelled in blind. The spine with 5 raised bands and lettered direct. Towneley bookplate from the previous binding on the front pastedown. The title page is rehinged and a blank corner neatly repaired. The next 6 leaves have similar corner repairs. A small paper defect affects the page number at K1 and K2. There is another small paper fault at M7 with no loss. Blank margins are repaired om R8, S4-6, Pp4-5. Overall a very good copy.
