Book Description

The two volumes, very good condition, with d/ws. The d/w on volume one has some minor chips to top edge. These make up this scholarly and indispensable work on the London gunmaking family. Neal and Back’s handsome volumes organise a great deal of information about the Mantons’ designs, their customers, and the many weapons themselves. 300pp + plates + 279pp + plates. The second volume (Supplement) published in 1978 by the Compton Press is in very fine condition and matches the binding of the earlier volume.
