8vo. First edition. Pp x, 450 pages, frontis and two further illustrations, of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and the author s ship Trafalgar respectively. Contemporary or near contemporary full calf gilt, all edges gilt, armorial bookplate of Nathaniel Rogers. A little foxing to prelims, otherwise a very good example, in an attractive binding. The author travels to Jaffa, Jerusalem, Jordan, Jericho and the Dead Sea, Beyrout (Beirut), and Damascus. Uncommon on the market.
