From the library of the late Christopher Foyle with the burgundy morocco gilt bookplate of W A Foyle of Beeleigh Abbey to upper pastedown. Dark red leather boards with gilt lettering to spine. Top edges gilt, others rough cut. Boards are generally in very good order. Slight bumping to corners. Spine is highly decorated and has 5 raised bands, some bumping to the ends. Inner hinges weak. 10 engraved copper plates inc frontis, as called for. 494 pp. Previous owner's bookplate from F E Dinshaw. When the Beeleigh Abbey bookplate was applied, it would appear the glue has caused the ffep to stick and there is an area of surface loss here. Additional photos are available upon request.
