YORK. York Illustrated. A series of engravings of public buildings, churches, the Minster, Bars, &c. with a short historical description. Title-page, preliminary plate, and 38 engraved plates each with leaf of descriptive letterpress. Some plates with an old waterstain tide mark, otherwise clean, and bound in contemporary dark red half morocco, with gilt spine, and all-edges-gilt. Inscription on the end-paper presenting the book to William Sedgwick from his Mama and sister Margaret, July 14 th 1841 - a present at York. Boyne 83.
