Extensively ANNOTATED in the same hand to leaves 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, and further throughout. The annotations are mostly additional grammatical information, and neat and detailed. One possibility is that this was used as a text book in Newman s lessons, and Martha, the student, added notes. Either way, a very interesting and rare item, showing how a women student was learning at the time (presumably privately?).
