Dealer Notes
MacGillivray, a Scottish naturalist, professor and writer, is best remembered for his 5 volume ‘History of British Birds’ — at the time the most advanced and informative work on the subject — and for his significant contributions to Scottish natural history. Although his ‘Manuals’ series was intended to be extensive, it only reached three titles, including this one.
