Dealer Notes
The first part of this book comprises a translation of de Voligny’s A Tunis, derrière les murs, published in Tunis in 1922; the translation runs to p. 106, with Douglas’ A Tourist’s Guide to Tunis following as Part II. Voligny’s text offers a history of the country and its people, and details of their character, religion, and the like. Douglas offers information for the visitor, with suggestions for places to visit and information useful to the tourist. The book itself does not carry a date of publication, but the dust-wrapper has both the price and the date of the book.
