A very nice early edition of one of the best selling books of all time. Undated but about 1880 by the original [1877] publisher for their 1/6d "Empire Educational Series" with the final leaf carrying an advert for the RSPCA. It was Sewell's only book and an instant best- seller but with the author dying just five months after its publication.
