Successful verse play in rhyming couplets inspired by the life of Cyrano de Bergerac (1619-55), first performed in 1897. The play was translated into, and performed in, many other languages. This handsome illustrated volume also includes the earlier play, Les Romanesques, by the poet and romantic dramatist, Edmond Rostand (1868-1918).
